Patricia Whittingham lives and works as an artist in Toronto. She is a member of The Akin Artist Collective Studio in downtown Toronto. Patricia graduated from the Ontario College of Art and Design in 1994. Her body of work is based primarily on painting and abstract expression. Themes in her work include nature, memory and personal experience. As an artist she will re-visit themes and return to further develop concepts that remain at the center of her work. Patricia enjoys living in an area that is both urban and close to the waterfront. She see art as empowering for both the artist and the viewer. Her paintings have been exhibited in Italy at the Primo Piano Gallery and in Miami at Art Takes Miami.
