William Cartwright

I am originally from San Diego, but now reside in Broken Arrow, Oklahoma. I love the Native American art which is so prevalent in this part of the country. I also love modern art in its many forms and media. Since I was very young I have felt a need to express my creative self through visual art and music.

The artworks I am currently creating are acrylics on stretched canvases. Although I use multiple techniques, many of my pieces are dominated by colors blended with a catalyst and allowed to dance together on the canvas with a minimum of manipulation. In this way there is a kind of collaboration between artist and medium that only reveals itself in the final result. Needless to say each piece is truly unique. I love the process and hope you love the results!

My formal education is in business and finance. I have a bachelors degree in finance from Langston University in Oklahoma.

I am self-taught artist and have been exploring different media and techniques my whole life.
