Witold Popiel

Since 1978 I've been active in the field of painting, art and applied graphics. In the mid 80s I co-organized a precursory on Polish market EGA creative group whose members were among the first to use computer as a tool of creation. I continue creative experience in this area, inter alia, working as a university lecturer. I'm the author of the sign of the Warsaw Metro and a series of posters, books and album covers, for which I received prestigious awards. I have also experience in the field of scenography and ballet costume design.

A graduate of painting faculty at the Academy of Fine Arts in Warsaw.

I participated among others in Polish art show in Athens (1986) and in Leningrad (1989), Kawamura Memorial Museum of Art - Sakura, Japan, "Zachęta" National Gallery - Warsaw, Regional Museum in Olsztyn, Regional Museum in Lublin, Poland, Regional Museum in Szczecin, Poland, Art Gallery Victoria - Warsaw, Vitrine Gallery - Hoorn, Holland, Juki Art Gallery - Japan, Gallery Bram - Hobro, Denmark, Saleks Art - Stockholm, BWA - Jelena Góra, Poland. Many Warsaw galleries presented my work such as: Art, Kordegarda, Fabryka Trzciny, Koszykowa.
