Ximena Agar was born in Santiago, Chile (1963), she graduated in Industrial Engineering from the University of Chile, a profession she practiced for 30 years in the financial and textile industry. She has always been passionate about art, taking classes and workshops with different teachers.

In 2019 she decides to pursue her passion full time and began to set up her own art studio. Although she has been dedicated to arts for more than 35 years, she took up painting professionally, where she has developed self-taught, various artistic techniques such as watercolour, pastel, Chinese ink and acrylic, specialising in Abstract Expressionism.

«Color represents for me, the connection or gateway to my inner world, where everything is possible, where there are no limits, no fears, nothing to disturb my imagination, my ability to create, with an enthusiastic look at a world full of colors who surprise me everyday.”

Color in itself represents for me the whole, whether they are mixed or separated, they symbolise perfection, the beauty of nature and life, with all their diversity, their contrasts, in the same way as they are also light and shadow at the same time, coexisting in harmony and perfect balance. 1988 - Graduated in Industrial Civil Engineering, Universidad de Chile.

2002 – Mosaic workshop, art professor Mrs.Caroline Murrie, Santiago – Chile.

2017 – Rhinestone workshop with professor Miss Ignacia Castillo, Calei Bordados.

2019 – Online workshops of Mixed media technics dabbling in a self-taught way in watercolor , china ink and acrylic.Santiago – Chile.
