Sophie Nelson-Iye

I am a young Fine Artist student who has a passion for drawing and paintings. I really like to experiment with colour and using mixed media.
I have a strong interest with the art movement’s abstraction, abstract expressionism, expressionism, cubism, and more, which I'd love to incorporate into my work. I've grown fond of geometrical and asymmetrical shapes, and have showed in my work a lot of times.
When I paint or draw on canvas or paper I like to express excitement and happiness shown through colour. I like to explore and incorporate memories that I've learnt or experienced along the way of growing up. I always want to further develop my skills as an artist and try new things, and encourage others who likes art as well.

I've recently studied in 2015-2016, art at Kensington and Chelsea College, doing Higher National Certificate in Fine Art as a course for the first year and plan on continuing. I also studied from 2013-2014 at Lambeth College, doing the 16-18 L3 Art & Design Extended Diploma Edexcel, that's the first and second year, Lambeth Academy from 2004-2011, doing AS-level - Art, Craft and Design and Photography, and art and design.

I recently did an art gallery exhibition that's a private viewing at St. Peter’s Parish Church, 59a Portobello Rd, London W11 3DB and from during the places I studied which are Kensington and Chelsea College, Lambeth College and Lambeth Academy.
