These are depictions of what it looks like when I close my eyes and let myself see what is really there to see. These are micro and macroscopic landscapes, the only thing I really see, eyes open or closed. I paint what I see, drawing on the ability to allow myself to be tossed and seized by physical waves of Tao and the paint I distribute then records the spasm. in the Himalayas they use a stick and prepared smooth trays of sand for this, and special crazy monks who can do little else except to allow themselves to be tossed and broken by waves of Tao as these waves create and uncreate all existence; here we use paint. Pity the monk who feels these destructive creative waves directly, in the body. When its force is deliberately sustained, even if only for a moment, the only survival strategy is art: sacred, liturgical, cosmological, erotic, ecstatic, the force absorbed must be released, unleashed. it is a form of holy sacrifice, and also functions as the only cure for the illness which will strike if the spirits and structures of the universe call and go unanswered.
