Olena Budakova

I am an architect and visual artist based in Morocco. My work is shaped by the intersection of architecture, landscape, and painting, exploring the relationship between space, light, and memory.

With a background in architecture, I approach painting through composition, balance, and atmosphere. Inspired by the landscapes of the Atlantic coast, Moroccan heritage, and the subtle beauty of natural light, I create works that evoke a sense of calm, openness, and contemplation.

Working primarily in oil, I use the classical three-layer painting technique, combining traditional craftsmanship with a contemporary sensitivity to color, mood, and space. Through my paintings, I seek to capture not specific places, but the emotions and memories they leave behind.
