Jade Gaskin

Jade Gaskin is a figurative oil painter from Herefordshire, now based in London. Her work is concerned with the kind of rage that gets trapped within us, like an air bubble, moving, rolling, potent, alongside the duality of emotions we carry simultaneously. Layering feverish washes of colours between monoprint and painted surfaces, she constructs charged worlds where the internal and external collide, suspended in both tension and anticipation. At its core is a space for women’s voices, for secretive whispers and mythic strength, echoing the wild feminine. Through shifting figures and unstable surfaces, her paintings navigate concealment and eruption, creating atmospheres that feel intimately volatile.
