I am a Kibera Nairobi based artist (b.1999).
As a self-taught visual artist I find myself leaning hard towards contemporary figurative paintings.
My works focus on women, men and kids from Africa and the African diaspora, often from my community of kibera.
I include real people I know in my works and hears, sees and even feels the struggles. I mostly portray them in deep reflective thought arranged in vibrant colored hues using a heavier pigment as I gain more and more experience. My paintings are distinctive in their use of colors and more so the roughness of my brush strokes which create the different moods I want to portray.
