Arsen Birch

The aim of my art is contemporary display of iconographic scenes and themes for spiritual enrichment of human, researching principles of icons interpretation without losing its original values.
Icon as a work of art can and should evolve, change, then it interests and becomes closer to the perception by modern human. However, it has to keep spirituality in every new manifestation.
Looking for new means of expression in the process are used modern and classical technology.
I work with natural materials, such as wood and iron, that reflects in the best way the influence of time on our lives and the world around us, make it possible to appreciate and reinterpret it in a new way.
