Anna Prydatko

My artistic practice focuses on themes of memory and loss of home. My tools are observation and self-reflection. I trace how personal memory takes root in the landscape of the Black Sea, how the political context seeps into the intimate, and how the familiar landscapes of childhood become a source of ambivalent feelings. I work mainly with drawing and painting. For me, these traditional media are an act of attentiveness and love for the surrounding space.
