Terrell Lozada (b. 1962) is a painter living and working in Paris. Her work explores the metaphysics of gender and power through an architectural and psychological lens, drawing on imagery associated with the body, interior space, and memory.
Her compositions often depict objects and architectural elements subjected to suspended or unreliable gravity, creating a sense of interior tension and quiet intensity. Influenced by late eighteenth-century French architecture and interiors, her work investigates how space can both contain and reveal emotional states.
Lozada works across drawing and painting, with a particular focus on works on paper. Her practice is rooted in material presence and surface, favoring works that invite close, sustained looking.
Her work has been exhibited in galleries and cultural institutions in the United States and France. She is currently based in Paris.
