EXPLORATION of RYTHM, MOVEMENT & EXPRESSIONISM "DANCE LOUNGE" Pablo Picasso experimented with "Light drawings" using small lights in a dark room which were photographed for Life Magazine in 1949. Post WW2, this more lighthearted approach showcased a new direction in mid century art. My "Dance Lounge" series is an homage to that more playful and expressive period. Long a devotee of mid-century architecture and design, I incorporated my design background in theatrical operatic and ballet design to create "Dance lounge"....an exploration of rhythm, movement and expression. Bold, clean, colorful,rhythmic paint strokes with sweeping markings to create my "dance lounge"series. Life is a dance........
