Ruben Lazcano

Mexican artist and art teacher, co-founder & instructor at "Taller de Arte Sombra Natural".

My home city is Mexico City.

The city and its enviroment is constantly moving me to document its moments. The quotidian life that slips
away to our senses when we are too busy on our personal stories and everyday distractions are my main theme.The lights, reflections, sunsets, night scenes, rain, sunlight.

The still life is another subject i tend to paint as i enjoy the subtleness of the image, monotonous and ephemeral translating itself into a continual moment of contemplation.

He attended the Design Faculty (CIDI) at the U.N.A.M University and the Art Academy of San Carlos in Mexico City.

Specialized in painting and composition under the guidance of the mexican painter Enrique Zapata Ponce.
