There is a stillness at the heart of Lynne’s work—a reverence for atmosphere, for the fleeting and the eternal, held in delicate balance.

Working between fine art photography and abstract painting, her practice is rooted in the elemental language of sea, sky, and stone. Drawing deeply from the wild coastlines of the Scottish Highlands and islands, she creates pieces that feel both vast and intimate—quiet studies of light, movement, and memory. Each work is an invitation to pause, to breathe, and to return to something older than ourselves.

Her large-scale photographic works are known for their immersive quality—expanses of soft cloud, shifting water, and distant horizons rendered with a painter’s sensitivity. Alongside these, her circular abstract paintings echo the tidal rhythms of rockpools and shoreline forms, where pigment flows and settles like the sea itself. There is a timelessness to the process—layer upon layer, patiently built, finished with luminous resin that holds light in a way that feels almost sacred.
