Jan Grott

My main interest is recreating the techniques of the old Masters and using historical, now forgotten pigments. I've been painting since childhood. I come from a family with a strong painting tradition. I've always been interested in and studied the painting techniques of the old masters, and I have a background in this field.

I studied painting under the tutelage of some of the best portraitists I've been fortunate enough to meet in my career.
I worked as a conservator in the country, hence my knowledge of traditional pigments.
