Preetie Kohli

I am a Singapore-based artist and Certified Zentangle® Teacher working primarily with ink on handmade paper, raw ceramic and canvas. My practice is built around intricate, repetitive linework that develops intuitively rather than from a predetermined composition.

I came to drawing in 2020 after a long career in finance, eventually founding Tangled Monk as my studio in Singapore. My work draws from nature, movement, stillness and repetition, with each piece evolving slowly through layers of hand-drawn marks. No two works are replicated; every artwork is an original.

I am particularly interested in the tension between structure and spontaneity — using disciplined, repeated marks to create compositions that feel organic, fluid and meditative.
