Rachel Mataira

Rachel Mataira (b. 1995, Auckland) is a New Zealand photographer and artist working across documentary and landscape photography, exploring land, memory and presence. NZ Geographic Young Photographer of the Year 2019; published by National Geographic; finalist, NZ Geographic Photographer of the Year 2021. Six solo and two group exhibitions; collected across Australasia, Europe, the UK and the US. Founder of Mataira Gallery, Waiheke Island. Signed limited edition prints, shipped from Auckland.
