Grace Pegeron

I draw portraits in a single line, and paint abstractions that follow no plan. Different methods, same instinct: get past what a face or a landscape is supposed to look like, straight to what it actually is.

I work by a lagoon where the sea comes and goes - the kind of place that teaches you the line between two things is rarely where you think it is.

Studied fine arts in Nice before earning a diploma in film making in Paris.
Also trained in cinematography at St. Cloud State University (USA) and screenwriting in Los Angeles.
My visual language bridges these worlds - painting as a way to listen where words stop.

This summer, I exhibited at the Pavillon Sévigné in Balaruc-les-Bains (Hérault, France), alongside two other painters. Three very different voices: poetic and symbolic, contemplative abstract, joyful figurative in a light-filled space by the Bassin de Thau.

Recent shows include Dames at Le Piano-Tiroir (Balaruc-les-Bains, 2025), 4 artistes, 4 univers, 1 expo at Pavillon Sévigné (Balaruc-les-Bains, 2025), and L'Entre Pots (Pézenas, 2024).
