Feró Jámbor is a contemporary visual artist working at the intersection of painting and assemblage. His practice is grounded in a strong sensitivity to materiality and physical presence. In his work, material is not merely a carrier of meaning but an active agent that shapes the artwork through process, resistance, and time.

In his paintings, layered surfaces, erosion, and traces of intervention function as records of duration and memory. Paint operates as matter rather than image: its weight, thickness, and abrasion determine the structure of the work. Painting is approached not as representation, but as an event unfolding over time. This attitude relates to material-oriented thinking within contemporary art discourse, often described as the “material turn,” as well as to the restrained, process-based legacy of post-minimalism.

His assemblages are composed of found and discarded objects reconfigured into closed, carefully constructed systems. Wood, metal, and industrial remnants are selected not for their symbolic or narrative value, but for their physical properties—mass, texture, and resistance. These works do not tell stories; instead, they establish conditions of presence and tension between elements.

Ferencz has exhibited widely in Romania and Hungary, including at the Ráday Festival, the ARC Billboard Exhibition, and with art collectives such as Opál Theatre and the Barakk Group. He has participated in numerous exhibitions, and his works can be found in private collections all around the world.
At the core of his artistic vision lies a call to reawaken empathy and connection — to remind us of the vital importance of human relationships in a society increasingly fragmented by virtual alienation.
