My artistic journey began within the walls of an art school, where I learned the foundations of academic drawing and composition. Those years laid a solid foundation, teaching me how to see form and light, to feel color and space. However, a truly conscious immersion into art came later in life, when drawing transformed from an academic discipline into a genuine need of the soul.
Today, my favorite mediums are watercolor and pencil. In watercolor, I am fascinated by its unpredictability and transparency, its ability to convey the most subtle nuances of mood and atmosphere. Pencil, in turn, allows me to add clarity and fine detail, emphasizing the fragility of a fleeting moment.
In every brushstroke and every line, I invest a part of my warmth. My main goal is not simply to create images, but to evoke an emotional response. I sincerely wish my artworks to become sources of light, to bring a sense of calm, and to fill the viewer’s heart with unconditional love. For me, art is a way to make the world a little kinder by sharing the beauty I see all around me.
The artist received her early formal education at the Latvian College of Arts with an applied arts focus, where she completed training in leather crafting and processing under a master artisan program. During this period she also studied academic drawing and the classical foundations of visual art, including composition, proportion, tonal structure, and observational techniques.
This academic background established a strong understanding of form, craftsmanship, and material sensitivity, combining traditional artistic discipline with applied artistic practice.
In later years, she continued to expand her artistic education through specialized workshops and masterclasses in botanical watercolor, still life painting, and architectural drawing. These studies deepened her understanding of natural structures, light, and organic textures.
For the past three years, she has been actively engaged in a consistent artistic practice, focusing on graphite drawing and watercolor. Her work combines academic precision with contemporary realism, exploring botanical subjects, still life compositions, and nature-inspired imagery with a strong emphasis on fine detail, tonal depth, and refined textures.
