Smita Marathe

I am Smita Marathe, an accomplished Abstract Painter based in Pune presently.
Having completed my Diploma in Commercial Art, from Abhinav Kala Mahavidyalaya, Pune, I have been painting for last 5 years.
Also, I have attended many camps, workshops which helped me get into the depth of my subjects even better.

Concept behind my paintings is the universal truth about life… Energy flowing seamlessly in different life forms, their overtones… making the boundaries misty between beginning and the end.. Energies unifying together, becoming one, giving life to new forms… and not for once, but this keeps going on may be till the end of universe... or may be till the beginning of new universe..
Depicting different moods in it feels as the real challenge, but surely it gives a sense of awakening to the beholder.
I also had the privilege of exhibiting my paintings in many Solo & Group shows.
