Sergey Sovkov

I was born on the 25.4.1972 in Kyschtym, Russia. I am a painter and graduated in 1997 from the University of Togliatti, Russia. After 17 years teaching at the same university, I started my own business and opened together with my husband Erwin in 2016 the studio gallery "Blaue Tauben".
Erwin was born on 6.5.1983 in Graz, Austria. He is an eurythmist and graduated in 2008 from the Institute for Eurythmy in Vienna, Austria. After 7 years in a crafting profession, he met me. Our joint project "Crystal House" prompted Erwin to work artistically.

In the center of my work is the painting and ceramics of the youthful male act in the innocence and the joy of life, the beauty and power of the body, as well as the painting of still life. The paintings are worked in my extraordinary style "Divetro".
In the center of Erwin's work is the dance-like expression of the inner world of images, feelings and thoughts in connection with the mental and emotional world through the naked body.

My mission and goal is to seek out the beauty and dynamism of life, to see and process it and then introduce it to the world and to people.
