Caterina Vitellozzi

Caterina combines classic mosaic with contemporary art, focusing her attention on the relationship between human landscapes, nature and environment. Her art suggests a pause for reflection and poses a challenge to achieve new balances for a sustainable and harmonious future.

“I like to choose, hand-cut and match different materials: from the warmer and more natural ones such as trees, stones, marbles, gold tesserae and fragments from Nature to the colder and harsher ones such as smalti (glass paste), glass, iron and pieces of concrete. I like to combine them to create a new balance every time, a balance communicating directly to our ‘innermost feelings’." All my artworks are unique pieces.
