Ruchika Vaswani

Born & raised in Dubai, UAE - I went to a school where students came from all over the world, immersed in the multicultural life where my roots are Indian, living in an Arab world with international influences. I was always drawn to art classes as a child, and as time passed it slowly filtered through and became a hobby that I would only revisit once in a while - in the form of various mediums - trying my hand at basics overtime (colour pencils, silk painting, charcoal, pencil drawings, acrylics..etc)


I ended up at Indiana University, Bloomington, Indiana US to study Business and Apparel Merchandising - as I was fascinated with the business of fashion. Once I moved back home, I worked behind a desk for just under 2 years before I got married and moved to Mumbai, India. My family and I currently travel every few months due to my husbands business and so with the travel schedule that is - I got hold of a brush and tried my hand at Oil painting - and never looked back. The smooth texture and the freedom the paint allows you, makes anything possible.
