Frank Wuggenig

German-born artist, sculptor & designer. My sculptures are expressions of shape and texture. I like to experiment with different textures and the inspiration, how to glaze, often comes from the basic shape and surface texture when first bisque-fired. Latest designs are based on metal sculptures, but the fragility of clay limits my ambition to create open, stencilled patterns. Having created 1/2 life-size sculptures once, I now prefer the smaller models as, in my view, they accentuate shapes more accurately.
