Lina Kush is a Belarusian contemporary artist based in Poland. Working primarily with acrylic on canvas, Lina explores memory, identity, and the enduring presence of the human gaze. Her ongoing series, Portraits and Singular Gazes, examine what remains of a person after recognizable features dissolve. Rather than treating portraiture as a record of appearance, she approaches it as an emotional and psychological encounter.
Blue occupies a central role in her visual language. For the artist, it is not simply a color but a space of silence, depth, and contemplation—a place where the gaze becomes the strongest carrier of human presence.
Through her paintings, Lina Kush invites viewers into an intimate dialogue, asking how identity survives beyond physical form and how a single glance can preserve what words and appearances cannot.
