Ankita Singh

Born and brought up in a small town at the banks of the Ganga in India, I have closely been associated with the Madhubani paintings. Having seen the motifs and the vibrant colors filled in by the women on the walls of their houses during festivals or occasions like marriage, it seems that these colors are ingrained in the matrix of the memories of my childhood. I love the bright hue of this traditional art which is associated with all the age old stories that I used to listen. I wish I could take this art to various places all over the world so that I am able to share these stories with everyone.
