Symphony Painting

My Art is about layers of color and added words. Is like bringing out my feelings through layers of paint, words and collected items that are added into the canvas. I start my paintings by adding color, intuitively and collaging pages or objects into the canvas. As I cover the canvas with color I start to feel the emotion attached to the work. Some I add a message or words into the painting. This to me creates more interest and dimension to the piece. I enjoy the process of painting which brings me to that special place where I don’t have to think, I have fun. It’s a place where I can express myself through color. To me art carries moments, deep memories or feelings from the artist which are transferred into the canvas. My work is usually abstract mixed media. But I also enjoy painting portraits. Abstract colorful portraits. I don’t worry so much about making perfect portraits but capturing something about the person in the painting. My work is about happiness, feelings, inspiration and motivation through color. My hope is to bring joy and happiness to everyone when they see my art and want to have it around them.
