Doris Cohen

Doris Cohen was born in Tanger in 1953. She grew up between the Mediterranean Sea and the Atlantic Ocean. Initially her art was mainly influenced by the vistas of the sea and ocean.During her adolescence years she immigrated to Israel. This change of environment and landscape inspired her to paint about subjects of social importance in Israel. Doris broadend her art career by taking coursed at Art College in Ramat-Gan Israel, where she became familiar with stained glass, glass painting and crafts. With time and voyages through Africa, Asia and small villages of Europe, her subjects became more involved. Today, Doris - happily residing in Toronto, Canada- is a dedicated artist who specializes in oil painting. Her paintings reflect connection to nature and life
