Hopefully, my artworks themselves say much more than words do :) But I'll try. My name is Iaroslav Hmelnitki. I paint for over 30 years… I was born in 1986 in a family of artists in Moldova (Eastern Europe). Both my dad and grandfather were famous soviet artists. So obviously my passion for drawing and painting began in my youth. Naturally, I followed this direction in my profession. I was trained in an advanced school of decorative painting in 1992-1995. In 2007 I graduated from the College of Arts and Crafts (Chisinau, Moldova) holding a Teacher of Arts diploma. After completing college, I was a teacher in drawing, painting, and textile Art at Primary Schools in the Republic of Moldova. Nowadays I live in the United Kingdom (Caerphilly county borough) and prefer to paint impressionist landscapes, with oil paint on canvas. I find my inspiration in British nature. My artistic exploration of Wales, England, Scotland, and Northern Ireland are the greatest joy in my life, and through my paintings, I hope to share some of my emotional experiences of this unique part of the world. My works can be found in private collections in Moldova, the Czech Republic, the USA, Italy, United Kingdom, Germany, Canada, Australia.
