I don't have heroes but people I admire - Bill Hicks, Charles Darwin, Richard Dawkins, John Lennon, Steve Ovett, Martin Luther King, Stephen Pinker, Noam Chomsky, Jeremy Hardy, David Mamet, Philip Larkin, Alan Bennett, Brett Easton-Ellis, John Betjeman, Alan Coren, Stan Lee, George Carlin, Jack Dee, Ian Cognito, Frankie Boyle, Ken Loach, Francis Ford Coppola, Martin Scorscese, Lindsay Anderson, David Fincher, Miro, Francis Bacon, Jackson Pollock, Turner, Carl Andre, Picasso, Yves Klein, Damian Hirst, Mike Leigh, Bill Forsyth, Laurel and Hardy, Eddie Izzard, Steve Martin, Sophia Loren, Sharron Sumner, Bridget Riley, Brigitte Bardot, Clare Grogan, Debbie Harry, Kimberley Walsh, all the cartoonists in Private Eye.. especially Tony Husband and Ed Mclachlan, Steve Bell, Norman Mailer, Saul Bellow, Hunter S Thompson, Laurie Anderson, Geramaine Greer, Marcel Duchamp. Most artists and curators should kill themselves.
