Borderline Personality Disorder DSM Artwork

Born USA. I started making art at the age of 21. I was admitted on the spot to the San Francisco Art Institute upon showing the Dean of Admissions my portfolio of Thurberesque Drawings with funny captions. Much of my artistic inspiration from my flea market finds ( vintage & rare ephemera), my huge unusual vintage, children's book collection, dance & burlesque performances, icons, symbols and images from all kinds of religions and my exploration into personal relationships. Although I have a distinctive style, I have explored many mediums- collage, painting, drawing, print making & fabric design, digital art. Some of my work is pretty and decorative but I also create ugly & raw paintings. These self therapy paintings are meant to be ugly and humourous . Kitsch, fashion, phtography, film, Children's art, German expressionism, Matisse, Dufy, Nolde, Redon as well as unknown outsider & folk+ art brut artists are have contributed to my style. My new website May 2022 As of February 2013, I have published my first children's ebook LULU LOOKS FOR LOVE which is available on Amazon. Old Website - 2019 Two month art residency in the Berkshires, MA and created a series of 30 paintings and drawings.
