Azelina Evangelista

I am a self-taught artist working with acrylic paint on canvas. My creative process is driven by an intense need for expression — a combination of technique, emotion, and an obsession with detail.

My paintings move between realism and fantasy, inviting the viewer into a contemplative pause: not just to see, but to feel and reflect on the meaning behind each composition. Every piece carries its own symbolism, often open to multiple interpretations.

The presence of OCD (Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder) strongly influences my art. The meticulous control over details is not merely an aesthetic choice — it is a direct manifestation of how I perceive and organize the world. This process transforms what could be a limitation into a unique visual language, where precision meets poetry.

Each painting is born from an almost urgent need to give form to what I cannot express in words. Art, for me, is both a refuge and a bridge — a way to connect with others through something deeply personal.
