Maria Fernanda Diez Y Riega

I am a self-taught photographer. I started my own commercial photography studio in 2012 and later, in early 2014, I decided to take a next step exploring the artistic path with surrealist photography. Currently I am dedicated full time to create and develop pieces of art through the materialization of the subconscious and the imagination.

I want to convey ideas and evoke feelings through archetypal images that connect us with the deeper aspects of our lives, combining the imaginary with reality. The soul of every photographic series comes from hard work of experimentation, finding a balance between the plastic, the concept and the human mind.

Each portrait speaks the language of the invisibility of the visible, leaving to the viewer's imagination what should be said of the work. That language is represented in the symbolism of colors, textures, scenarios and what is awaken in the audience when they contemplate each work.
