Hi, I’m Eric.

I’m a Rotterdam based digital artist.
I use a combination of 2D and 3D software to create my artwork, which ranges from fine art prints to cover art and animation.

I try to experiment a lot, and I make extensive use of procedurally generated textures and images using a combination of 2D and 3D software. Lately I've also been working with AI based image generation software.
That way of working gives me all the freedom to explore different concept in a very intuitive way.

I sometimes use photographic material as a starting point for my work, but it can also be created completely procedural.

In my work I try to catch a mesmerizing or contemplative moment and - somewhat like a landscape painter - I'm not trying to include a much of a narrative.

Most of my inspiration comes from natural phenomena in the broadest sense thinkable, so my work often looks very organic. Also great painters like Claude Monet, Max Ernst, Henri Rousseau, David Hockney and Daniel Richter are a huge inspiration to me.

I studied Art History at the Erasmus University in Rotterdam, The Netherlands
