Born in Benin in 1990, Fanguera is a visual artist whose work is deeply rooted in African traditions while projecting into the future. His artistic journey is a constant dialogue between ancestral heritage and contemporary issues.
It is in the heart of his native country, a cradle of rich and diverse cultures, that Fanguera draws his inspiration. His early works, marked by portraits, figure drawings, perspective landscapes, still lifes, and the creation of administrative stamps, testify to a sensitivity to the reality of the African environment. Over the years, his style evolved and became more complex, giving birth to AVIAKPO, a unique technique that has made the artist famous.
AVIAKPO is much more than a simple technique; it is a true artistic philosophy. By mixing natural pigments, recycled objects, sand, palm fronds, organic materials, and expressive gestures, Fanguera creates vibrant and unique works where each element tells a story.
