Graham Watson explores the dynamic potential of analogue collage to produce his visually striking art. Often darkly playful and laced with humour he frequently references art history and popular culture.
Influenced by artists and musicians as wide ranging as Jackson Pollock, Mike Kelley, Cindy Sherman, Kurt Schwitters, Guided by Voices, The Smiths, Aphex Twin and the Oh Sees.

As an artist and musician (drummer) Graham loves to create artwork for bands. The collage ‘Hold Back the Night’ was the cover of the double live album of the same name by the Mercury Prize nominated Manchester band ‘I Am Kloot'.

His latest work combines abstract expressionism and collage to explore themes around human interaction.

He lives with his partner and daughter in the Lake District dividing his time between his studio at The Factory and teaching Art & Design.

BA (Hons) degree in Fine Art: Painting, University of Central Lancashire.

Post Graduate Certificate of Education, University of Central Lancashire.
