Jeremy Farmer was born in England and lives in London.
His tastes in art are eclectic and constantly evolving. In the early part of his painting career, he was influenced by artists such as Hockney, Matisse, Picasso and Rembrandt and more recently by Richter, Katz, Mondrian and Friedrich.
He is largely self-taught but has received invaluable instruction and encouragement from his fellow artists: Aris Raissis, Emma Thistleton, Andrew Macintosh, Will Ayres and Jeremy Dickinson at Delta Studios.

Farmer won the Art Prize at Harrow School in 1967 and 68.
