maansi jain is an nyc and berlin-based artist, photographer, writer and freelancer: specializing in interdisciplinary documentary and conceptual projects.

They use play, glitch, and scientific inquiry to create colorful, energetic, and provocative imagery, sculpture, and installation through interdisciplinary media and methods such as blockchain, lidar, photogrammetry, 3D scanning, digital and analog photography, text, code, installation, performance, sound, and found materials, to question and reimagine personal and collective identities, consumption, and cultural hegemony in the present and in a speculative future.

Plus, a blossoming curatorial practice showcases and supports emerging and established artists in various genres and platforms as part of their oeuvre: full of brilliant and inspiring colleagues from many disciplines.

S/he was born in Munich and grew up between Paris (FR), Texas (US) and Delhi (IND) before undertaking studies on photography at the Sorbonne, semiotics, french and art at New York University in NYC, Paris, & Berlin, and game theory at the University of Pennsylvania.
