Vincent Keeling

I'm an Irish artist living and working in Dublin city. I'm perhaps best known for my realistic portrait work, including private commissions and my series of portraits of famous personages in the world of music, film and literature. Besides this, I've also painted numerous floral studies, particularly large white rose canvases, with perhaps the best of these reflected in my Creation Series. However, although both my portrait and floral work has focused on realistic oil painting techniques, I have also a love of modernist art, and have several experimental paintings in this vain, veering toward more stylised forms, with varying degrees of abstraction.

Largely self taught in terms of my art education, although I did study under artist Brian McCarthy for several years, which proved invaluable in honing my oil painting techniques. Besides this I have a BA in English and History, and a masters degree in International Relations.
