Nadiah Yan

Nadiah Yan is a contemporary artist based in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, known for pioneering a unique fusion of clay on canvas, creating sculptural-like paintings that bridge the gap between traditional and modern art. With a deep connection to earthy textures and organic forms, her work transforms two-dimensional surfaces into immersive, tactile experiences that evoke a sense of grounding and emotional depth.

Rooted in abstract expressionism, Nadiah’s practice is inspired by the raw beauty of nature, the fluidity of emotions, and the passage of time, resulting in pieces that invite both visual exploration and physical interaction. Her latest collection, "Earth Tones" (set to release in mid-2025), reflects a profound exploration of texture, form, and the natural world, offering collectors artworks that shift dynamically with light and perspective.

Nadiah was selected for an art residency with DoubleTree Hilton Lakeside Putrajaya, where she leads engaging workshops for participants of all ages. Her works have also been showcased in online galleries and acquired by private collectors seeking unique, textural art that adds dimension and warmth to modern interiors.
