The visual arts define me. I see the world in keys of shape and color.
I started as a girl making figures in ceramics and painting. It was there, at the age of 12 in the art workshop, that I discovered a universe and chose to be part of it.
Later, while I was drawing, I made murals, custom paintings, scenery, costumes and decorated furniture. All this while studying Fine Arts, a career I did for 7 years.
Without stopping painting, I started teaching and continued studying art history informally, which is another of my passions. Understanding the creative processes of artists, of an era, of all eras, awakens my passion and illuminates aspects of me as a visual artist.
A life dedicated to creating, searching and discovering new media, different ways of painting, drawing and composing.
My work centers on the human figure as a means of emotional expression. I explore the intersections between melancholy and passion. Through drawing and painting, I create scenes that aim to inhabit that space between intensity and gesture, with a contemporary and personal perspective.
I hope you enjoy the art with me.
