Born in South Korea, Yi-Seol EJ Park is a painter and visual artist who lives and works in France. She studied at the Beaux-Arts in Rennes, France, where she deepened her research on memory, movement, fragmentation, and trace — central themes in her artistic practice. Her work explores the correspondences between East and West, through a pictorial language imbued with silence and intensity. Her compositions, both sensitive and controlled, are often compared to a dance between shadow and light, between absence and presence. She has also lived in Réunion Island, Cambridge (United Kingdom), and Malta, and has traveled widely — experiences that have broadened her perception of the world and nourished her visual language. Each artwork becomes a space for reflection, where the artist questions time, trace, and identity. At the crossroads of painting, photography, and sculpture, her practice seeks to create an inner dialogue with the viewer — a silent yet profound encounter.
