Her art invites us to navigate the very heart of vital energy—the energy that flows through us and encompasses everything in our surroundings. Through the artist’s “playful” explorations, we experience this powerful current; and, through our own “I” (our sense of self), we fervently embrace otherness, ultimately reaching toward the totality of existence.
For this multifaceted artist, any medium serves as a pretext for subversion, circumvention, or inversion. She creates images populated by bold, striking forms, favoring intense colors to stir emotions that may have grown anemic—dulled by lives that are often either too fragmented or too drab. She composes in the space between abstraction and figuration, reminding us that life always expresses itself in a polyglot fashion, spanning these two continents of interpretation.
She works in series, arranging her pieces like panels in a comic strip—which, when placed end-to-end, unfold sweeping, overarching narratives.
