Kiwon Hong is a Korean artist and architectural designer based in Paris. Trained in architecture in France, his practice explores the unstable spaces that appear after gesture. Through graphite, ink, pigment, erasure and the resistance of polyester paper, he creates monochrome fields where marks slip, accumulate and disappear.
Born and raised in Morocco, Hong draws from tactile memories of dust, light and shadow, while maintaining a displaced relationship to Korean ink traditions. Rather than relying on direct cultural codes, his work turns toward body memory, sedimentation and the quiet instability of migration.
