I thought for a long time about why I keep returning to the horizon. Over time, I realized that I had never painted landscapes. My sole subject has always been the human being—their inner world and their ability to transcend their own limits.
In my work, I explore the horizon as an inner state. For me, it is not a line between the sky and the earth, but a transitional space between fear and trust, limitation and freedom, who we were, and who we can still become. The horizon does not exist outside us, but within us. It constantly recedes as we move forward, becoming a metaphor for human experience and inner expansion.
My perception has been influenced by the ideas of phenomenology and the understanding of the horizon as an ever-expanding boundary of human experience. Therefore, my works are an invitation to step beyond the limits of familiar perception and discover the possibility of seeing oneself differently.
I am interested in the moment when familiar reference points cease to function, and a person is faced with the need to take a step into the unknown. It is precisely at this point of uncertainty that an encounter with oneself is born. My works create a space where the viewer can pause and encounter their inner horizon.
