Christa Hillekamp

Born in Cologne, Germany. Travelling and meeting people of different cultures has always been my greatest inspiration for art, combined with a view of contemporary social and cultural issues.
My paintings are always more a reflection of the emotional mood of my impressions than reality.
After my professional career as stage designer Lubeck, Germany, I prefer to work free of any kind of reference sources such as sketches or photographs. Spontaneity, fresh inspiration and fun to experiment are the vital points which drives my works forward.
