When I retired as a competitive figure skater, I needed another creative outlet to express myself. Art was the answer.
I have always been a painter, with too many ideas and too much color. I earned my Bachelor of Fine Arts in Painting from Southern Illinois University Edwardsville. When completing my undergraduate degree, I discovered my joy for an audience’s interpretation of art.
My goal is to intrigue and impress the viewer, leaving them with an image that is not self-explanatory, but allows the viewer to make a connection with their own lives and experiences.
