Koa Ophelie Simonet

KOA is the alias of Ophélie Simonet, a self-taught artist born in 1987 in La Rochelle, who has been shaking things up with her brushes and her mind from her base in the Vendée region.

Her world? A dopamine-laced milkshake of pop culture, humor, 90s nostalgia, and good vibes in her art. Afflicted with a rare form of synesthesia (ordinal-linguistic personification), the artist cultivates an atypical visual and creative sensibility.

Alongside her corporate job, KOA decided in 2024 to step out of the shadows. Painting is her shot of freedom and authenticity, her playground, her antidote to the monotony of daily life and the monochrome of our times.

Her work is a modern and vibrant concentrate of colors combined with powerful contrasts. Her deliberately naive style breaks with academic conventions and celebrates the essence of art.

Designed with a playful approach, his collectible pieces (such as figurines, toys, images, etc.) promise to revive disenchanted generations and inject a dose of fun into any wall.
